Sara began practicing yoga at the age of 15, when her gymnastic coach recommended yoga to improve her balance and posture. Her background in competitive gymnastics has fostered acute body awareness, strength and flexibility. She constantly pushes herself to find her edge and greatly enjoys the physical challenge of yoga.
She traveled to India in 2004 and spent two months at a meditation ashram in Pune. In the ashram she spent time exploring the relationship of the mind to the body through practicing mindfulness, releasing conditioned behaviour, developing inner awareness, and finding the Hara - a grounding centre within the body.
Sara's yoga practice has enabled her to have more energy and focus in her life. She believes that a healthy lifestyle including a regular yoga practice will help release tension from within the body and calm the mind.
Sara is a calm and compassionate yoga teacher who is overjoyed to participate in and encourage the practice of yoga in others.
